Chicago teachers to go on strike

Fire them and hire new.

Have you checked out the salaries of some of them?               http://www.familytaxpayers.org/salary.php

The  website, www.familytaxpayers.org, has posted all public school teacher and administrator salaries since 1999.  The data, which is from the Illinois State Board of Education, tells an important story.  Teachers and administrators pay ranges from adequate to highly excessive with no rational basis.  And their pensions are enormous.

HOLY SMOKES.    They make a lot of money!!!!!

Those positions would fill fast with all the out of work teachers.

Glad it’s illegal for teacher’s to strike in Wisconsin.    I would say the same thing if Wisconsin teacher’s were allowed to strike.

One Response to “Chicago teachers to go on strike”

  1. Here are the facts: Chicago teachers have the highest average salary of any city at $76,000 a year before benefits. The average family in the city only earns $47,000 a year. Teachers pay only 3 percent of their health-care costs and out of every new dollar set aside for public education in Illinois in the last five years, a full 71 cents has gone to teacher retirement costs. Just 15 percent of fourth graders are proficient in reading and only 56 percent of students who enter their freshman year of high school wind up graduating.
