Wisconsin Teachers Failing Wisconsin…In More Ways Than One

There is absolutely NO excuse for this.   NO reason why kids in our district read so poorly.    SOME TIMES teachers need to be re- taught how to teach a certain subject and this is one of them.   WE spend way to much money for them not to read proficiently .

Here’s a little factoid to remember when watching those public union schoolteachers throwing tantrums up in Wisconsin.

Two-thirds of the eighth graders in Wisconsin public schools cannot read proficiently despite the fact that Wisconsin spends more per pupil in its public schools than any other state in the Midwest.

And these stats do no come from some conservative think tank. They come instead from one of the most liberal, free-spending and teacher-friendly sources of all — the U.S. Department of Education!

Yet you believe they should be able to collectively bargain? What good is it doing our children? This is about the unions and their power not the kids.

This has nothing to do with collective bargaining. In fact if collective bargaining is eliminated we can expect to see test scores go down . There are only five states in the Union who do not have collective bargaining and all those states continuously rank the lowest on the ACT.
