I am relieved to see a homicide ruling in this case.  Has anyone seen a picture of this beautiful young lady?  I was trying to find one to post.  The fact that he tried to say he was afraid she was going to rob him is just laughable.  He just wanted to shoot someone and thought he could get away with it.  I am very happy for her family. Just because you own a gun does not mean you get to use it.

Sheriff Robert Spoden talks about the Aprina Paul case.

The Aprina Paul family is going to have to sit tight for a little while.  Sheriff Robert Spoden states “Paul’s remains are being sent to a laboratory in Dallas. Results aren’t expected for 12 weeks, Spoden said. ” Twelve weeks.  Three months.  That would make it February ?    That is o.k.   Waiting for these results could make the difference between only a disposing of the body charge, which is a felony, but does not carry a lot of time,  or maybe being a miracle the results would show she died some way else and Nathan Middleton is lying and it would bring a murder charge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It  sounds to me from this article that they don’t  plan on charging him with murder unless they can prove it.  If people can step back for a moment, how many people would want to be charged with some thing the police/d.a. has no proof of?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But for the Paul family they need to stop and think , stop running on emotions.   What do you want to spend the rest of your lives knowing?  That she fell asleep and just never woke up, because of drugs or some other aliment.    YOU are claiming he killed her, which you can not prove and may never be able to. She did use drugs so his story may very well be true.  Do you really want to spend   the rest of your lives thinking  that he killed her?  Wondering what those last few hours were for her?  IF it were my child I would pray she just went to sleep.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I  think some of the people around Aprina’s  mom  may be giving her some really bad advice.

It’s good to be safe. But this was not her fault. It’s  a shame she is being punished because her husband likes to beat on her.  I hope they keep him locked up for a long time.  Enough time for her to move where he has no idea where they are.

Senators: Voucher deal done.

 

The private school voucher program would expand statewide and at spending at public schools would increase 150.00 per student each of the next two years.   That is the deal being worked out by Scott Walker and Republican leaders.

 

Public School officials have complained that vouchers for private schools takes money away from the public schools.  But I have to ask what makes you think you would get the money that is going for these private school vouchers?  This is Walker we are talking about.   He would not have to give it to public schools.

 

Little bit of the feel of entitlement on both sides.

Some Milwaukee schools listed as the best in Wisconsin.

For all the talk of how awful Milwaukee schools are.. A couple of them are in the top 10 for Wisconsin.   Funny thing I can not find Evansville in this list any where.

A thank you to the contact person from the Iowa Dept of Crimminal Investgation.

It was not long after post about my sisters situation with a abusive husband and the fact he is a cop.  That I received a message from a contact person at the Iowa Dept of Criminal investigation.  They were offering to help if they could and providing contact information.   It was nice to know there is concern on their part and they do not just over look things like that.  I have also sent them a email from their contact information.

If some thing happens to me, I want my kids with you.

That is the TEXT I got from my sister on Sunday night, at 11:30 p.m.     I have talked on here a bit about my sister going through a nasty divorce.   It helps to write about it.         Because what my sister has been through in the last few years , I never dreamed she would go through.

She is a smart, beautiful , educated woman.   She graduated from law school top of her class,  has had her own successful practice.    Yet for years she was abused at the hands of her husband and she never said a word to anyone.   What makes it all worse her husband is with the Division of Criminal investigation in Iowa.   He is a cop.

After she finally got him out of her house , he continued to threaten her, stalk her,  make her life as much hell as possible.  Because  he ” was cop.”  he thought he could do as he pleased.   He kept track of almost all things she did in a journal he kept for five years.  Almost everything she did.   She basically was living with her stalker.

Those journals have come back to bite him though as the Judge in their divorce case has ordered them turned over to my sister and her attorney.   They are having them analyzed just to show how unbalanced he is.

He fought her for custody of the kids.   She wanted shared custody as a compromise he wanted full custody .     He lost.   They will have shared custody.

When he learned he had lost his  fight for full custody he became enraged.  That is when I received that text from her.    I of course immediately called her.

She has always had a home security system but she has now added to it.  Having security cameras placed outside the house.  She keeps the house and garage locked 24/7.

I would like to think my soon to be former brother in law would know if any thing happens to her, they will look at him first.   We will make sure they do.

But he has been a cop for so long and done as he pleased for so long ,   I worry he thinks he could get away with harming her.

He is a huge control freak and these journals show just how much of a control freak he is.

She has called the police on him before, and they side with him.  Because of course he is one of them.   The one cop actually saying to her ” you need to stop being such a bitch.”

I have offered to go out to Iowa and deal with her EX…. I will not put up with crap from him , cop or not.      I will also go to his superiors with the pictures she has of the bruises.

Some thing she has been too afraid to do.

The man should not be caring a gun.

She jokes about him going  ” Drew Peterson ” on her, but we all know that is not funny.

I am hoping and praying with time things settle down.

It just still amazes me that my sister would find her self in this place at any time in her life.      It just goes to show domestic violence happens at all levels.  To those you least expect.

Evansville School Districts to receive MORE aid this year.

Evansville is one of the fortunate schools that will be receiving more aid this year.   We are getting  an increase of 1.56% over last year.

They will be getting a grand total of   $  11,937,387  for the 2012-2013 year.     The 2011-2012 year they received  $ 11,754,197.

I spoke with a Patrick Gasper at the Wisconsin D.P.I. and he said the school funding formula is very old.  But three of the main things they look at when deciding how much each district gets is
enrollment, property values and how much a district spends on education.

They may not be getting a lot more this year but should be very grateful they are not getting less.
